Open Day at the Rachid
Karamé International Fair in Tripoli, Lebanon
Saturday 12 February 2005, 10AM - 2PM
A group of architects and researchers on modern architecture is
organizing an open day at the Rachid Karamé International Fair in
Tripoli designed in 1962 by renowned Brazilian architect Oscar
Niemeyer. The event will consist of a series of lectures on the
history of the Fair and its architecture. Other lectures will
address past and present projects for the Fair and the preservation
of modern architecture. The program will also include a guided tour
and will be concluded with an open debate about the value of the
Fair and its future.
The event is open to all.
